Bainbridge Island Chocolate Festival!

Just in time for Valentines Day and serves a good cause!

                                                                                               The Chocolate Festival

So, we dodged a bullet with this storm! However, we know that will not always be the case.  The last one left many people out of power with nowhere to go.  Homeland Security in conjunction with the Red Cross has designated the senior center as our emergency locale and warming center.  They donated a $25,000 generator to that end.  To fund its use, there will be a Chocolate Festival on Feb. 4, 6:30-8:30 at the Senior Center.  The following restaurants, caterers, etc. have generously agreed to provide their tastiest chocolate treats for sampling:  122 Restaurant, Café Nola, Hitchcock, San Carlos, Blackbird Bakery, Bon Bon, Pane d’Amore,  Bainbridge Bakers, Salmon Canyon Café, Chef Cris Haberstock,  Seasons of Thyme, and Archipelago Catering.  Wine is being donated by Rolling Bay Winery, Docs & Perennial Vintners and coffee by Pegasus.

Tickets are available for $15 per person and are available at Winslow Drugs and the Senior Center.  Or, I will be happy to deliver them to you!  If you can’t make it and want to donate, there is also a raffle ($5 each or 5 for $20) with great prizes – again generous contributions from local merchants:  Berry Patch, Eagle Harbor Inn, Flowering Around, My Kids Cookies, Renew Day Spa, Rooster Café, Safeway, BI Cycle, Eagle Harbor Books, Havill Golf, Lindsleys, Meadowmeer  Golf, and Mora.

Hope you can make it.  Should be great fun and delicious – plus a wonderful cause!

Enjoy! Susan
